  3. Conducting Engineering Services Examination (ESE) : ESE is conducted to recruit engineers for various departments under the central government. It assesses candidates’s technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities and engineering abilities
  4. Selection For Defense Services : UPSC is entrusted with the responsibility of selecting candidates for defense services through examinations like NDA(National Defence Academy) and CDS(Combined Defence Services).
