Space Program, and launches. The Indian space program is guided by the nodal agency Indian Space Research Organization(ISRO). The agency has contributed to science and dedicated research centers for remote sensing, astronomy, and space sciences.
The functions Of the Indian Space program are:
1. Resource management like mineral resources, agriculture, and marine.
2. Environment conservation.
3. Internal security and terrorism.
4. Weather forecasting and GPS. 5. Disaster Management.
Developments Of the Indian Space Program after 2000
1. In the year 2001, the first development happened with the flight of the GSLV. It has been the first-ever attempt to explore the solar system.
2. In the year 2008, India pursued a mission that is called Chandraayan(The first lunar space probe of the ISRO)
3. Gradually, ISRO started embarking the programs like PSLV, GSLV, and next-generation GSLV Mark-III launch vehicle missions.
4. The program for Earth observation that includes cutting-edge Indian remote sensing satellites was also launched.
Future programs of Indian Space Program.
1. One of the biggest projects in the upcoming year is Gaganyaan(Demonstration of human spaceflight capability by launching a crew of 3 members). It is a mission that is launched by the ISRO in which three flights will be sent into orbit.
2. Chandrayaan-3(Planned third lunar exploration mission by ISRO) mission will be launched very soon as also the Shukrayaan(Planned Satellite to Venus by the ISRO) mission that is sending a satellite to Venus. 3. By the year 2030, India is planning to launch its own space station.4. One of the most discussed projects in recent times was Aditya L1 Mission. This project will include an Indian spacecraft going 1.5million Kms away from the Lagrangian point(Positions in Space where objects tend to stay put) between the Sun and Earth.
