The cabinet government is commonly known as the Parliamentary form of government. They are built on strong cooperation between the administration and legislature. Today we will be discussing in detail what is a parliamentary form of government. 

A Parliamentary government is an administration in which the government is formed by the ruling political party. The majority of the party selects a leader to be the Prime Minister of the country. Then the cabinet is formed, and in this cabinet, there are high-ranking members of the party. 

The parliamentary government has all the authority. Now let us have a look at some important features of the parliamentary system. 

Important features of the parliamentary system. 

The Parliamentary system of India was inspired by the United Kingdom. The important features of the parliamentary system are 

1. Cabinet Formation 

When the general elections are complete and a Prime minister is chosen. Then the Prime minister appoints the cabinet. This is one of the important features of the parliamentary system. The cabinet list is sent to the president for approval. 

2. Teamwork In the Parliamentary system, every minister worked together as a team. They have to agree on an issue in every cabinet meeting. If there is any disagreement, then the minister will have to resign or will be removed from the cabinet. 

3. Supremacy of Prime Minister The Prime minister of the country is given the most important because the prime minister is the leader of the legislative house. The Prime minister is in charge of appointing, removing, and monitoring the work of the cabinet minister. 

4. Equal Political Responsibility The government is accountable to the legislature. The operations and activities of the cabinet can be investigated by the legislature. The general public can ask about their concerns through their elected representatives, and the cabinet must answer to the people. 

So this is all about the Parliamentary form of government and its important features. The Prime minister and Cabinet ministers are important people in the government, and the whole cabinet is answerable to the Parliament.
