What are the objectives of SERC?
The Objectives of the SERC are as follows:
1. To promote research in newly appearing areas of science and engineering including multidisciplinary fields.
2. To promote selectively, the general research capability in relevant areas of science and engineering.
3. To encourage young scientists to take on the challenging activities of R&D
4. To give encouragement to the scientists from less endowed university departments and institutions.
What are the activities supported by SERC?
1. Providing project support to individual scientists and technologists
2. Setting up a center and core group around outstanding scientists.
3. Setting up National facilities to promote research
