How to prepare for a UPSC Interview? | UPSC CSE

UPSC Interview is one of the major parts of the examination and if you crack this, it can completely change your life. It is the last round and this is where you are tested. So today we will be discussing how to prepare for a UPSC Interview. 

1. You must start polishing your skills and personality as soon as possible. Don’t wait for the results or any other things. Keep getting better with each day, so that you will be confident when you face the UPSC interview.

There is always a line between confidence and overconfidence, it is better that you stay in the confidence line itself. 

5. Never lie to impress the UPSC Interview board. Don’t talk about fake facts and other experiences and don’t even mention those fake things in your biodata. UPSC Interview board are smart people and they will catch you off guard. 

6. Improve your command of the language. Listen to debates, and express your ideas completely. Start talking with your friends and be more open, through this you can improve your communication skills. 

7. Don’t stop reading newspapers even after the examination. It is important to have a general idea about the major things which are happening around the place. Be familiar with stories, headlines, and other aspects while attending the UPSC interview. 

 8. If you have any good hobbies like you are a good athlete or a writer. Make sure that you polish these skills properly. Because hobbies are something that will help the interviewers to understand the candidate’s personality. 

9. The first impression is the best in the interview. So make sure that you wear neat and comfortable dresses which will make you look confident. 

10. Before attending the UPSC interview, you can take mock interviews. When you take the mock interviews, it will help you to avoid those common mistakes. You can talk with your mentor and friends who can help you find your strengths and weaknesses and give necessary suggestions.
