Chandragupta Maurya

Chandragupta Maurya was the founder of the Mauryan Empire. He was born into a humble family, but he rose to power through his intelligence, bravery, and leadership skills. With the help of his advisor Chanakya, he defeated the Nanda dynasty and established the Maurya Empire in 321 BCE.

Bindusara

Bindusara was known for his patronage of Buddhism. He invited several Buddhist monks to his court and supported the spread of Buddhism throughout the empire. Bindusara’s son Ashoka the Great would later become one of the most famous Buddhist rulers in history.
