Satellite Communication is a process of exchanging the information between two or more points on Earth using a communication satellite in orbit around the Earth. It provides services like television broadcasting, mobile communication, internet services, and many more.

How Satellite Communications Work?

Satellites that are used for communication are mostly placed in geostationary orbit that means they orbit the Earth at the same speed as the Earth rotates. It appears as if the Satellite is stationary relative to the Earth’s surface.

The Satellite acts as a station for signals transmitted from one point to another. The signals are first sent to the satellite via a transmitter. Then the satellite receives the signal, and amplifies it and retransmits back to the Earth.
