Science and Technology have addressed many problems in society by providing various innovations and techniques. For the betterment of the future, the Indian government has released a draft called National Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy in 2020. This policy helps in strengthening the larger goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Here are the new science and technology ideas

1. Open Science Framework and Inclusiveness help to get increased access to research output, and great transparency. This framework will be community driven and supported with necessary institutional mechanisms and operational modalities.

2. One Nation, One Subscription, and Democratization envision free access to all the journals, Indian and foreign for every Indian against a centrally negotiated payment mechanism. In the present mechanisms, only line departments, innovators, and others got have limited access to these research journals. Now along with them, other individuals can also get complete access to the research journals. That is why this policy helps them to get access to scholarly knowledge.

3. Science and Gender parity policy is introduced to value women’s participation in science and education. Over the past few years, women’s participation in science and technology innovations has doubled in India. Therefore, this policy provides gender parity by addressing career breaks for women by considering their academic age.

4. Traditional Knowledge and Carving Own Niche Policy helps to establish an institutional architecture to integrate the Traditional knowledge system into the overall education, research, and innovation system. The policy’s main focus is to help India shine globally and stand on its unique technology that is based on ancient wisdom which is combined with modern science and technology.

5. Collaboration and ease of doing research ideas are to create a National STI observatory that will act as a center for all kinds of data related to and generated from the STIs. This will help in achieving collective development through international engagement and maximizes the scope of national advancement.

So these are some of the new science and technology ideas which contain progressive proposals and they can be game changers for the scientific research community and help passionate individuals to get better facilities and interact with science.
